https://www.cpp.edu/Sandeep Krishnamurthy, Ph.D. is the inaugural Singelyn Family Dean of the College of Business Administration and Singelyn Graduate School of Business at Cal Poly Pomona, one of the largest AACSB-accredited business schools in the nation, serving more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
Dr. Krishnamurthy has helped clarify the focus of the CBA as Southern California's Polytechnic business model. Under his leadership, the Singelyn Graduate School of Business has emerged as a regional leader in business graduate education. At Cal Poly Pomona, he inspired the Mentorship-Internship-Job+ framework promoting student success.
Krishnamurthy is a sought-after published author, speaker, expert witness, and media commentator. He has edited and contributed chapters to numerous books on e-commerce, open-source software development, and research ethics, and his work has appeared in Harvard Business Review (HBR.org), Journal of Business Research, Research Policy, Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Advertising Research, and International Journal of Non-Profit and Voluntary Sector Marketing, to name a few.
Krishnamurthy completed his undergraduate and graduate work in India at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and XLRI, before earning a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Arizona with a minor in Economics.
Charles E. Vela is an engineering scientist with experience leading and managing innovation and applications of advanced technologies to large scale and complex systems. For over twenty five years he has supported federal agencies in Transformation and Modernization programs and in strategy development and implementation of the Enterprise Life Cycle in the acquisition, design, integration, deployment and operations of large-scale mission critical systems. Vela held leading positions at some of the most prominent US scientific institutions including The MITRE Corporation founded by MIT; IIT Research Institute of the Illinois Institute of Technology; and the National Academy of Sciences.
Current area of innovation includes the development of a secure elections system. Other areas of research include theory of socio-political and economic stagnation and capital accumulation; new paradigms for strategic planning and execution; emergency response to catastrophic situations; and intelligent high performance algorithms for human in the loop applications. Early in his career, Vela conducted R&D in industrial robotics control in metallurgy, power generation, and water production and distribution. He is former professor of Electrical Engineering.

Vela has received multiple awards including Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring; Science Spectrum Trailblazer Award for contribution to science and technical policy; U.S. Vice-Presidential Re-Inventing Government (Hammer) Award; and Junipero Serra Award for his contribution in STEM education for Latino Youth. Recently, Vela received the Outstanding Award as a Scientist, Leader and Role Model in the STEM Universe from NBC-Telemundo and Founder of STEM Award at the API awarded by Hispanics in Energy.
