Over the past twenty years, Juan Garcia has worked in the compensation industry, researching HR practices and workplace assessments. As part of his responsibilities at Employers Group, Juan developed and lead the compensation consulting services for the firm. The program has provided compensation surveys, onsite consulting, and educational services to hundreds of companies in California over the years. As well as working in aerospace, distribution, nonprofits, real estate, banking, and the public sector, Juan has direct experience in a variety of other sectors as well. In 2020, Juan started Blue Whale Compensation Services. The primary mission is to offer small and medium-sized businesses practical, cost-effective compensation solutions. As part of this strategy, and in partnership with other organizations, they offer BlueComp, an online compensation solution that delivers and manages an organization's comp program. The app is available to organizations at no cost. This strategy is part of Blue Whale's efforts to provide tools and services that are only generally available at highly prohibited fees. Blue Whale believes in using open-network, online solutions to help companies find the tools, services, and counsel best suited to their growth.
Crystal Lopez is the Founder and Owner of Carter Bradley Insurance Solutions, an agency offering wide-ranging, comprehensive insurance coverages tailored to the personal and business needs of her clients. Crystal’s emphasis is on providing solutions to protect families financially. She balances her commitment to family and profession with her passion for helping others and volunteering for the community.
At 17, Crystal lost her father to a drunk driver. The mental, emotional, and financial avalanche of this event was devastating. However, while still mourning but grasping the urgency at hand, Crystal was determined not to allow this tragedy to define her life. With her family having no financial resources, she dropped out of high school to help support her mother and siblings. After obtaining her GED, she eventually found her way into the insurance industry under the tutelage of a gentleman and his wife selling life insurance. Ultimately, rather than define her life, the loss of her father provided the impetus to leverage her empathy to help families avoid a similar fate. Giving birth to Carter along the way only intensified her passion for educating, serving, and protecting families.
Through an affiliate partnership with Professional Insurance Solutions, Carter Bradley Insurance Solutions allows competing firms to offer their clients solutions to meet their industry-specific and business-specific needs. Such an arrangement ensures all recognized business coverages are available promptly, with expectations for the best quality and prices.
I help retirement plan sponsors anchor their benefit package with an exceptional retirement plan complimented with ancillary programs to enhance each employee’s organizational citizenship and financial wellbeing. Specialists on our local SRP WELLth team help people with money questions in need of a plan and a pilot to help navigate today and tomorrow’s financial challenges with poise.
I am most fulfilled when I can grow my business while impacting people’s lives, play the piano (poorly) while my kids sing and dance, and enjoy an Old Fashioned to celebrate any day ending in “y”.
Since 2008, I have also volunteered as a coach with the U.S. Youth Volleyball League (U.S.Y.V.L) teaching boys and girls ages 7-15 the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship along with basic volleyball skills. In 2018, I joined the Board of Directors with the U.S.Y.V.L. and enjoy contributing to the leadership and growth of the non-profit I've been involved with for over a decade.

A bit of history: The acquisition of 401(k) Advisors, Inc. by NFP served as a catalyst for the formation of Strategic Retirement Partners (SRP). Shortly following the event, a super-majority of 401(k) Advisor affiliates pooled human resources and intellectual capital to form Strategic Retirement Partners, LLC. SRP was founded by a veteran group of advisors with the shared belief that after working for decades during a lifetime, one should be able to retire with dignity and grace. Our sole focus is helping our Plan Sponsors make that happen for those employees within their care.
Today, SRP has 23 offices throughout the United States that are strategically located to deliver comprehensive service and expertise to help our clients provide an exceptional retirement plan to their employees. The SRP team consists of 100+ associates with significant retirement plan expertise and an average industry tenure of 15+ years. We approach client service with a collaborative style delivered by a dedicated plan consultant team in one of our regional offices. This team is further supported by specialists who are specifically focused in the areas of ERISA Compliance, Investment Research, Provider Analysis, Fee Benchmarking, Employee Education, and Executive Benefits. We wake up every day with a renewed and unparalleled commitment to excellence that is supported by the latest technology, deep research capabilities, operational efficiencies, and a craftsman-like focus on detail. We adhere to operating principles and values that emphasize independence, work ethic, and a laser-like focus on the needs of our clients.
Our professionals can serve as an investment fiduciary to your retirement plan, we strive to be objective and rigorous. And if we don’t look or sound like a “Wall Street” firm, it is entirely by design.

But, we love it. And we'll continue to strive and bring out the inner cookie lover in each and every one of us.
