Join us as we uncover grants from the state, county, and local levels relevant to your business. Grants can help provide valuable resources for organizations to carry out projects or provide services they otherwise would not be able to.

The following State-Level Grant Opportunities will be presented:

  • CA Inclusive Innovation iHub program
  • CA Live Venues Grant – Currently making selections (Up to $250K)
  • CA MicroBusiness Covid 19 relief Grant - $2500 grants
  • CA Dream Fund – Up to $10,000 in seed capital (new businesses and those started after 7/1/19)
  • CA Non-profit performing Arts – Workforce Development focused grants of up to $75,000 for employee-related costs

    Josaline Cuesta manages the execution of Small Business Majority’s programs and initiatives throughout the state of California in collaboration with the California team. Additionally, she directs the organization's Southern California office and develops and fosters strong relationships with business organizations, community organizations and policymakers.

    Prior to joining Small Business Majority, Josaline worked in the private and public sector for almost two decades. Most recently Josaline led community engagement initiatives and large-scale outreach programs for local government. She has also directed office operations for a state elected official and spearheaded the creation of a customer service department for an online startup company. In her spare time, she serves on the boards of Girls on the Run Riverside County and the Riverside County Parks Foundation.

    Christopher Earl, of Rialto, was appointed at the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic
    Development in 2020 and currently is the current Acting Deputy Director and Southern California Regional Advisor for the Office of the Small Business Advocate within the GoBiz. Earl is a Civil Engineer by trade and has a background in technology transfer & commercialization along with an extensive history is economic development; Innovation; grant writing and administration; procurement and contracting; and small business technical assistance.

    He was most recently executive director of economic development & entrepreneurship, at Riverside Community College District from 2019 to 2020, where he held several other positions from 2012 to 2019, including, Statewide Director of the Federal and State Technology (FAST) Partnership Program, Executive Director of the Office of Grants and Contracts, and Assistant Director of TriTech Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

Her previous career opportunities have offered experience in the private and nonprofit sectors as a Business Administrator, Customer Services Professional, and Seminar Facilitator. Her career transition led her to San Bernardino County, Workforce Development Department, Business Services Unit in September of 2021. She serves as a Business Services Specialist, providing business outreach and supportive services to local businesses within the county.
