Event Details

Join us for 'Economic Horizon 2024: What Lies Ahead, Inland Empire?', a transformative conference hosted by the Inland Empire Regional Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Beacon Economics and the County of San Bernardino. We're thrilled to present this power-packed event, offering insights, innovations, and opportunities that reveal our region's current and future economic landscape.

We're honored to have Dr. Christopher Thornberg, a respected economist and Founder of Beacon Economics, guiding us through a clear-eyed look at where the national and Inland Empire economies are trending.

  • Is the economy going to slow down or speed up?
  • Why has the much predicted economic recession not shown up? Will it in 2024?
  • Is there going to be a 'soft landing' from the recent interest rate hikes? Or could the Fed still drive us towards a crash?
  • What do the national trends mean for the Inland Empire's economy?
  • Are any of the region's major industries expected to soar or flatten in the next year?
  • Will limited inventory keep Inland Empire home prices steady, or inching upwards?

Known for his ability to translate complex economic data into useful insights (with a good dose of humor and fun!), Dr. Thornberg will provide us with a meaningful understanding of where our local economy is headed next. Q&A will be included!

A highlight of our event will be the keynote address by the California State Treasurer, Fiona Ma. As a forceful advocate for California's economic health and growth, Treasurer Ma will shed light on the broader state-level economic context, the opportunities it presents for our region, and share her vision for the future of California's economy.

This event serves as an incredible opportunity for business leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and community stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics that shape the Inland Empire economy. Attendees will have the chance to network with like-minded individuals, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and leverage knowledge to navigate the ever-evolving business environment.

'Economic Horizon 2024' is not just an economic update, but a glimpse into the future, a gateway to success, and an invitation to be part of the journey of shaping the Inland Empire's prosperous future.
