More Information
DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR at OIAA | Atif Elkadi has been named deputy executive director of the Ontario International Airport, the Ontario International Airport Authority announced Tuesday, Aug. 14.
Elkadi, 41, has been promoted to the newly created position from his role as chief commercial officer, according to a news release from the OIAA.
He has been responsible for a broad portfolio of communication activities including community engagement, social media, marketing, advertising and public relations. He will maintain his current responsibilities for marketing, communications and external affairs, the release states.
Prior to joining ONT in November 2017, Elkadi was senior corporate communications manager at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, where he developed the airports communications strategy and implemented its strategic communications initiatives, according to the release. He also managed internal communications, customer service communications and social media for Dubai International Airport.
I start every day with intent asking, what is my purpose today? Usually that purpose surrounds being a light for others. I am most passionate about using my skills and strengths to serve the greater good of the world. My mantra is, a life without purpose is a life not worth living...my intentions hold the key to the fulfillment of my life and the lives of others.
Edward Ornelas, Jr. is a Los Angeles native, however he likes to tell people that the Inland Empire adopted him in 2012. Having worked with many small businesses to enhance their brand, Edward has the experience, passion & drive to succeed in any environment. A "think outside the box" attitude and unorthodox marketing approach is what sets him apart from the rest.
March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies. We believe that every baby deserves the best possible start. Unfortunately, not all babies get one. We are changing that.
For 80 years, March of Dimes has helped millions of babies survive and thrive. Now we’re building on that legacy to level the playing field for all moms and babies, no matter their age, socio-economic background or demographics. We support moms throughout their pregnancy, even when everything doesn’t go according to plan. We advocate for policies that prioritize their health. We support radical improvements to the care they receive. And we pioneer research to find solutions to the biggest health threats to moms and babies.
What began with President Franklin D. Roosevelt's personal struggle with polio led to the creation of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, better known as March of Dimes. We pioneered the vaccine research leading to the eradication of polio in the U.S., and then we shifted focus to address some of the biggest health threats to moms and babies with innovations like folic acid, newborn screening and surfactant therapy.
Today we educate medical professionals and the public about best practices; we support lifesaving research; we provided comfort and support to families in NICUs; and we advocate for those who need us most, moms and babies. We are stronger and more committed than ever to guiding moms through every stage of the pregnancy journey. We are fighting for the smallest among us and advocating for their health each and every day. And we do so with the tools, technology and knowledge needed to build a brighter future for us all.
We are and always will be a place for people to come and be themselves.
And we’ve stocked our place with a delectable collection of unequalled music, food, games, and beverages for you to enjoy as you’re being yourself.
You see, we don’t believe in uncomfortable chairs, bland walls, and fluorescent lights. Those things belong in the 9 to 5 world. We DO believe in a ‘dirty modern’ mash up of chandeliers, food for foodies, PBR tallboys, and craft beverages. We believe in brunch turning into a bowling party and bowling parties turning into all-you-can-sing karaoke. We believe in exploring evenings filled with shuffleboard and made-from-scratch chicken and waffles.
You put your responsible, ironed, adult pants on every day of the week and you deserve a place where ties and khakis are a choice not a requirement. We are that place—and there are untold possibilities waiting for you here. Come and discover for yourself.
