Brandon Cole is a National Director at Gallagher. He oversees the team and overall relationship for several of our larger nonprofit clients, which includes property, liability, workers’ compensation, directors & officers, employment practice liability insurance, and accident program. He also works as a client advocate and is involved with program development and design.
Brandon's journey in the insurance industry began in 2005, and his path led him to Gallagher in 2011. With a wealth of experience, including a significant six-year tenure at Philadelphia Insurance Companies as an errors and omissions/management liability underwriter, he brings a depth of knowledge to his role. His work in policy development and rating further underscores his expertise.
Brandon received a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University. He has earned an Associate in Risk Management, an Associate in General Insurance, a Certified Insurance Counselor, a Certified Insurance Service Representative, a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, a Certified Risk Manager, a Certified School Risk Manager, and a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter designation.
Brandon received the Power Broker Award presented by Risk & Insurance magazine in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024. He was given the Breakout Award by Business Insurance magazine in 2018 and was recognized as a “Difference Maker” by the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
Melissa Cerny serves as the Area President for Gallagher Insurance’s Southwest Region. With 12 years at Gallagher, she oversees 300 employees across ten states, managing strategic operations and service delivery. Under her leadership, the region’s revenue has grown from $14M to $130M annually in less than a decade.
Before her current role, Melissa was COO at Chapman Insurance, a nonprofit-focused independent agency. During her 9 years at Chapman, she implemented efficiency strategies like Lean Six Sigma for Service, significantly improving client retention and employee satisfaction. After Gallagher acquired Chapman in 2012, Melissa transitioned into her current position, expanding her oversight to include Property & Casualty, Benefits, and Personal Lines across diverse industry niches.

Melissa has served on the board of Rancho San Antonio Boys’ Home, a nonprofit in Southern California, for 11 years and currently holds the position of Treasurer.
