Sandeep Krishnamurthy, Ph.D. is the inaugural Singelyn Family Dean of the College of Business Administration and Singelyn Graduate School of Business at Cal Poly Pomona, one of the largest AACSB-accredited business schools in the nation, serving more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

Dr. Krishnamurthy has helped clarify the focus of the CBA as Southern California's Polytechnic business model. Under his leadership, the Singelyn Graduate School of Business has emerged as a regional leader in business graduate education. At Cal Poly Pomona, he inspired the Mentorship-Internship-Job+ framework promoting student success.

Krishnamurthy is a sought-after published author, speaker, expert witness, and media commentator. He has edited and contributed chapters to numerous books on e-commerce, open-source software development, and research ethics, and his work has appeared in Harvard Business Review (HBR.org), Journal of Business Research, Research Policy, Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Advertising Research, and International Journal of Non-Profit and Voluntary Sector Marketing, to name a few.

Krishnamurthy completed his undergraduate and graduate work in India at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and XLRI, before earning a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Arizona with a minor in Economics.

Charles is best known for having conceived, between 1990-1992, the methodology and philosophy of Science, Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) as an educational concept to increase the number of Latinos in science and engineering, and to create the future technical and scientific leadership in the US. STEM integrates the aforementioned disciplines into an educational body of knowledge. In 1992, Vela coined the term STEM and stablished the STEM Institute in the metropolitan Washington DC area.

Charles has worked in technical and scientific management and engineering positions for large-scale, high-performance, mission-critical enterprise systems at leading US research & development institutions, including the National Academy of Sciences; MITRE, formed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); the Illinois Institute of Technology Research Institute (IITRI); and Noblis, formed by MITRE.

The modernization of the US Federal telecommunications system (a project of ten billion dollars), where he served as Lead Engineer.

The modernization of the of the IRS (a project of seven billion dollars), where he served as Chief Scientist.

On the Mapping of Brain at the National Academy of Sciences, where he served as Assistant Study Director.

The merger of the three military medical components of the US Armed Forces: Army, Navy and Air Force for the National Capital Region, including Walter Reed National Medical Center, as Chief Scientist.

The integration and deployment of a geographically distributed emergency response system in case of a terrorist attack in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.

His most recent areas of research and development include the use of smart devices for voting and real-time processing of electoral results; high-performance algorithms and models for real-time virtual surveillance systems; command and control system for managing natural or man-made disasters.

Gabriel brings a breadth of experience as a Creative Technologist, with a career spanning over two decades, His journey began at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he spent 18 years immersed in cutting-edge technologies. He collaborated closely with NASA HQ, several NASA centers across the country, and Caltech. His responsibilities and scope grew to include roles as Systems Architect, Solutions Strategist, and his final role as Associate Chief Technology and Innovation Officer for IT, where he focused on emerging technologies.

He left JPL to gain experience in the corporate world, honing his skills in cloud technologies and modernizing large enterprises. He held positions at Comcast - Cloud Center of Excellence, Amazon Web Services - Global Media and Entertainment, and NBCUniversal - Cloud Acceleration and Enablement.

In 2023, Gabriel assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Inland Empire Regional Chamber of Commerce and Inland Empire Business Journal. This enables him to dive deep into the emerging innovative opportunities across the region with various Academic, Public Sector, and Global Business partners.

Ryvid is not a motorcycle company; it’s a light mobility company with a mission to make more efficient, lightweight and eco-friendly vehicles that are less resource-intensive. It’s a significant endeavor, and one that was partly inspired by co-founder Dong Tran’s early childhood experiences – from Vietnam to the United States.

Growing up in Dalat, Tran was familiar with the pragmatism and pleasure of riding mopeds, and accustomed to seeing two-wheel vehicles inundating the streets. “I grew up in a household where we had a bicycle. Our entire family was on a bicycle and our entire livelihood was built around that bicycle – it meant my parents could get to work,” he says.
